Marygate House

Marygate House is situated in Marygate (the main street), opposite the Post Office. (Turn right at the cross-roads at the entrance to the village and Marygate is the last house but one on the left before the end of the road.)

Parking: Cars and minibuses may be left in front of Marygate House but please avoid parking in front of nearby cottages.

Accommodation: The House has a Library, a dining room and a sitting room but no television. There are 21 beds arranged as follows:

Room 1 - Four single beds
Room 2 - Three single beds
Room 3 - One single bed
Room 4 - Four single beds
Room 5 - Four single beds
Room 6 - Four single beds
Room 7 - One double bed

Bedrooms are on the first and second floors; the sitting room also is on the first floor.

Pets: Pets are welcome in Marygate House, except in the kitchen, dining room and library.

Meals: Our usual times for meals are as follows:
Breakfast - 8.45am
Lunch - 1.00pm
Supper - 6.15pm

Under most circumstances meal times can be varied to suit guests' programmes.

Morning coffee, afternoon tea and early morning and bedtime drinks are available as required.
Packed lunches
can be provided, but please let us know in advance, as the nearest source of extra bread might be 13 miles away, with several feet of water in between!

Sometimes parties cannot arrive in time for supper at 6.15pm. We could arrange to serve supper any time up to 8.00pm. After that we would usually provide soup and sandwiches.

Special Diets: We are happy to provide vegetarian meals and also cater for special diets - but it is essential for guests to let us have details beforehand.

Help in the House: It is sometimes very helpful to us if guests will assist with clearing up after meals and also remaking their beds at the end of their stay, if requested.

Special request to Leaders: At least two weeks before your visit, please let us know your time of arrival, final numbers and any special needs (diets etc.).
