Cambridge House and Garden

Cambridge House is situated on the corner of the cross-roads at the entrance to the village. There is a pleasant garden in front of the House, surrounded by mature trees and a stone wall, which gives a sense of peace and seclusion.

Guests are requested to report to Marygate house on arrival.

Accommodation: The House has: One double bedded room, One twin bedded room and four single rooms.

There is a large sitting room which is kept normally as a quiet room for reading, writing or contemplating! There is also a smaller "talking" sitting room.

Guests are welcome to borrow books from the library at Marygate House.

Meals: Guests are invited to help themselves to breakfast from the Cambridge House kitchen, and also tea, coffee, biscuits, etc., whenever required.

Meals are served at the following times:
Lunch (1.00pm) and Supper (6.15pm)

Meals are taken in the dining room in Marygate. Each meal will be announced by a bell, and you are welcome to wait in the library. Please ensure that we know of any special diets at the time of booking, and that the kitchen is notified if you will be out for a meal.

If guests are making a silent retreat, meals can be taken apart from other guests. Packed Lunches are available if requested the night before.
